Real estate activities are considered an essential service and can continue to conduct business during the Stay-at-Home order in Illinois. Those parties that are essential to finalizing transactions are generally staying open but are modifying daily business to reduce face-to-face interaction. Those include title companies, mortgage companies, inspectors, appraisers, attorneys, and brokers.
Direct Property Buyer continues to operate and is buying houses. However, the following temporary adjustments are being made to the process: 1. Call us at 773.971.7661 or fill out the form on our website to get started. 2. We'll have a conversation on the phone or via email to determine if there's a potential fit. 3. Instead of scheduling a meeting at the house we'll do some desk research and will let you know a range or rough amount of where we expect our offer to come in at. If you have pictures you can share that'd be helpful. 4. If the price range that is presented to you is acceptable (still no obligation on your part) we can figure out the best way for us to see the house in person. This can mean leaving the door open for us, sharing a lock box combination (we're licensed Realtors), or meeting us at the house and just staying a safe distance from each other. 5. If you agree to accept our offer, we'll sign a contract (can be done electronically) and we'll schedule a closing on your schedule.
